A normal K9 patrol through a busy international airport turned into a major security incident after Bear, a trained airport security dog, locked onto one passenger’s suitcase and would not break focus.

The handler said Bear was known for calm, consistent work across terminals and baggage areas. On that day, Terminal 4 was crowded and nothing initially appeared unusual.

The alert that could not be ignored
