Man Tries To Sexually Assault Woman, She Breaks Off A Piece Of Him He’ll Never Be Able To Get Back
A violent home invasion in North Charleston, South Carolina, ended with a woman narrowly escaping an attempted sexual assault after fighting back against an armed intruder. The incident unfolded when a teenage male forced his way into the woman’s residence and threatened her with a knife, prompting a desperate struggle that left both individuals injured.
The 33-year-old woman told police the encounter began with repeated knocking at her door. Each time she checked, no one appeared to be there, despite the persistent sound. On the final knock, she opened the door and came face to face with a teenage male standing in the doorway holding a knife with a white handle. She reported seeing anger in his eyes as he pushed forward, preventing her from closing the door.
As the intruder blocked the doorway, the woman attempted to shut him out and screamed “No!” Police say the suspect then forced his way inside the home, brandishing the knife and threatening her. During the struggle, he punched her multiple times and warned her to “stop fighting, and I won’t hurt you.”
The attacker used the knife to force the woman toward her bedroom, where he attempted to remove her clothing. She managed to kick him in the groin, briefly slowing him down. At that moment, the suspect allegedly escalated the threat, yelling, “now you have to die!”
What followed was a split-second act of resistance that allowed the woman to survive the attack. As the suspect forced his tongue into her mouth, she fought back, later telling investigators she “bit his tongue as hard as she could until she heard it snap.” The intruder pulled away in pain and fled the home.
Seizing the opportunity to escape, the woman ran downstairs, discarded the severed portion of the tongue on her kitchen floor, and fled in her vehicle. Without her phone or tablet, which were left behind during the struggle, she drove to a nearby business to seek help and contact authorities.
