A minute-long CCTV recording from a butcher shop in Monterrey, Mexico, has quickly drawn widespread attention after showing a tense encounter between an armed robber, store staff, and one unexpectedly calm customer. The video, shared online by Carnes Cares, begins with a man walking into the combined butcher shop and convenience-style storefront. Wearing a navy hoodie, he moves directly toward the counter before pulling out a handgun and pointing it at the woman working the register.
The cashier barely reacts, lifting a notebook in front of her face and waving it slightly but otherwise remaining still. For nearly 40 seconds she stands unfazed, only reaching for her phone once the confrontation continues. During this time, another customer wearing a cowboy hat and a gray mustache appears at the counter. The gunman turns toward him, shifting his aim from the cashier to the older man. Even with a weapon pointed at him, the customer maintains a steady demeanor. He slowly removes his glasses, shakes his head, and waits.
